He ate...
Not a lot, but he did eat last night -- some of the canned food the vet gave us. He turned his nose up at it again this morning, but I'm definitely less worried today... right now he's sitting in one of his favorite spots in the living room (on the arm of the sofa, looking out the window), and he's been on my lap and running around a bit -- more like his usual self. I suspect the sub-q fluids yesterday (he was a little dehydrated) made a big difference, and maybe the antacid.

a dehydrated cat is a bad thing...im glad he got the fluids and is showing signs of improvement! if he was seeking attention, then he certainly got it :) When i need to "force" my cat to eat, i give him a little dollop of mayonaisse. gross, i know, but its wet, and full of protein and he loves it :) by the way, my cat is all black too...it is sooo difficult to get a good photo of him.

glad to hear he's better - he may need to lose weight, but not that way! Although, having had experiences in the past with overweight cats, I can vouch for the fact that NONE of them like diet cat food...

Here's helpful hint about ironing for your future work space. I've haven't used an ironing board for 2 years ... not since I bought the large ironing pad that's made to fit over the the folding craft tables. Most of my ironing is of large flat pieces. For a garment I have a sleeve board that's stored under the table along with the pad. I don't fit and tie the pad to the table top. Rarely do I need more area than half of it, so I just use it folded on top of the table.
